Prof. Eduardo Farinaro is Full Professor of Occupational Medicine and Chief of the Department of Preventive Medical Sciences at “Federico II” University of Naples, Director of the Medical school of occupational medicine and Professor of Preventive Cardiology at the Department of Social and Preventive Medicine. University of New York at Buffalo, USA.
Prof. Farinaro grauated in 1969 and completed his training as an internist and a cardiologist at Federico II University of Naples.He was Research Fellow at Department of Community Health and Preventive Medicine Northwestern University of Chicago.
He is member of the International Task Force for the Prevention of Coronary Heart Disease, is author of many publications on peer reviewed international journals and member of numerous national and international scientific institutions and editorial boards of scientific journals. Prof. Farinaro main scientific interest in the area of preventive and community medicine and its activity in the last few years has focused in particular on the effects of physical exercise on cardiovascular health and well being, with special regard to blood pressure, lipid pattern, heart rate, body fat distribution, insulin resistance, glucose metabolism and physichosocial status.
