Ferruccio Galletti is Associate Professor of Internal Medicine at Federico II University of Naples Medical School. He graduated in 1978 and completed his training as an internist in 1981. He was Research Fellow at the Mario Negri Institute of Pharmacological Research in Milan in 1980-82 and at the University of New York at Buffalo in 1988-90. Since 1994 he operates in the Department of Clinical and Experimental Medicine at Federico II University in Naples. His research activities concern the study of clinical and epidemiological aspects of aterosclerosis, the metabolic effects of antihypertensive drugs, the dietary prevention of arterial hypertension, salt-sensitivity and genetic of hypertension and related metabolic disorders.
Prof. Galletti is member of the Italian Society of Arterial Hypertension, of the European Society of Hypertension and of the Steering Committee of the Olivetti Heart Study.
He is a component of the editorial board of “Nutrition, Metabolism and Cardiovascular Disease”, edited by Elsevier.
